Cantonese is the third most spoken language other than English in Australia

What is the differences between Cantonese and Mandarin?

Some people may ask, what is the difference between Cantonese and Mandarin. While Cantonese and Mandarin are all part of the Chinese language, in some respects, they are totally two different languages. In the written languages, Cantonese is also called traditional Chinese while Mandarin is simplified Chinese. Though the words chosen in these two languages in the written form sometimes are different, the most simplified Chinese reader can read traditional Chinese, however, not all traditional Chinese readers can read simplified Chinese. In terms of speaking, you can consider them as two different languages.
